About This Item

New York: E.P. Dutton, 1955. This Stated First Edition of Richard Vaughan's "Son of Justin," the sequel to "Moulded in Earth," continues the saga of the Peeles in the Welsh Black Mountains. The book is in Fine condition, with a Very Good Plus dust jacket. (Click on photo.) The book has light green cloth covers with titles and Dutton logo in the same color against a red border. The book is clean, tightly bound, with no marks, signatures, tears, or inscriptions; in short, a highly collectible copy of this rare book. The unclipped dust jacket has edge rubbing and several small tears on the front panel, as shown in photo. The rear panel has no tears but has slight foxing. All in all, it has protected the book well over the past fifty years. I have placed it into a Brodart protective sleeve. (Note: the glare from my camera makes the front panel look creased at the top; it is not creased; rather this is the Brodart sleeve itself.) The book measures 5 3/4 by 8 3/8 inches and includes 222 pages.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good +. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
