(1st) Red and black boards, silver lettering near fine on spine, owner's emboss on first front end paper and final end paper, green felt-tip pen underlining and notes on pages 15-85, but not every one, photo section. DJ has white background, color photo of Mathabane at top front right, praise for Kaffir Boy, his first book, on back from Kirkus Review, Chicago Tribune and others. DJ has very tiny nick at top front tip, tiny creases at top front tip and top back edge, three micronicks and tiny crease at bottom back edge near tip. Near Very Good DJ/Fine book.
