Book Condition: Very Good; light shelfwear to board bottoms and tail; light toning to spine. Khaki cloth boards and spine with black lettering in a cream shadowbox on the spine. 417 pp 8vo. The author attempts to correct the usual writing that ends Kansas history with the firing on Fort Sumter as the state really has a very rich history that predates Jamestown by half a century. The author gives presentation to the prehistory stage, the Civil War period, the cattle towns, the Progressive era and William Allen White, World War I, the dust bowl and great depression, the post World War II era and the growth of big agro and aviation. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
