About This Item

London: MacDonald Futura Publishers. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1981. First Edition. Hardcover. 0354042009 . Green boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket which is not price-clipped. The boards are lightly 'mottled' on the front half of the front and rear boards, and there is some light edge-wear to the dustjacket and the d/j corners. The Dustjacket is in an older clear plastic removable cover and looks 'Very Good'. The Green/White 'Family Tree' front endpaper has a small (1.5 cm) white patch on the top corner where possibly a price has been erased taking the (green) colour with it. There are NO inscriptions or other marks. 240 pp. Ilustrated with b/w and colour plates. Epilogue; Notes; Appendix: Illustrated Books; Index. Overall, apart from the 'faults', as detailed above, this is a Tight and Secure, Near 'Very Good' copy. "This is the tragic story of Kate Greenaway, told here in full for the first time and not only gives a full biography of Kate Greenaway but also gives an annotated list of her books for collectors and serious students of her works ." ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
