About This Item

London: Odhams Press. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1937. Presumed First UK Edition. Hardcover. A Near Fine copy of this undated (c.1937) romantic novel and presumed to be the First Edition (code number C338 on back of title page). In Scarlet-red glossy boards with bright gilt titling and bright gilt logo to the spine. In the charming, and very attractively designed, pictorial period jacket by Alex Jardine. Some dusty storage wear to the extremitites, but considering this is a white based d/j it is in lovely condition! Very Good plus overall with NO tears or chips. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks FINE. Some tan spotting to the page fore-edges and to the top margins of the first few pages but insignificant and internally almost MINT. Looks unread. Normal 8vo novel size. NO inscriptions and clean throughout with no signs of use. A Delightful period copy with the orginal dustjacket in great condition, probably specially commissioned by Odhams. Francis Evans ('F. E') Baily 1887-1962. See Images. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .
