Featuring a neat ink gift inscription by a previous owner to the front free endpaper 'Andrew MacGregor W. Esq. // A souvenir of many happy days spent with [...] in the delightful Scottish Highlands, from his friend,' dated 17.19.25. Alan Thornton's bookplate to the front pastedown. In the original publisher's quarter vellum binding over cloth covered boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, light soiling to the boards and spine.
