Hardcover, 1955, first edition, published by Secker & Warburg, London, 248 pages.
Measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/4" by 1". Dust jacket is a little torn and slightly tattered at edges, with a little scuffing and marking and some staining on rear, but reasonably clean and colouring/design to front cover area is vivid. Deep maroon cloth binding, very clean. Very slightly bumped corners. Small signs of shelf-wear. Slight slackness to binding but reasonably firm. Page edges a little scuffed, foxed and browned. Some marking to endpapers, staining to rear pastedown and endpaper and some staining to pages towards end of book. A couple of inked initials to rear pastedown, gift inscription to front free endpaper. Otherwise page surfaces clean, with no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
