Scott's Elizabethan romance was published anonymously, although this was rather a polite fiction. Smooth calf boards, ruled and chased in gilt; darker leather spines with six raised bands; darkened red labels for title and the date 1821. Clean text; 320 pages, 339 pages, and 348 pages. Unfoxed; bright and readable today, with marbled endpapers and edges. All are rubbed at the margins, with short splits starting at the top of the spines on volumes One and Two. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Second Edition.. Full-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
