DJ not price-clipped, some wear along edges, chip missing along bottom edge of spine, some other general wear. Light soiling. Back of dj has author's bio. Original dustjacket green background with brown horse's head on front. Protected from further damage in clean Brodart jacket. 124 pages. Tells the story of the mare Amathea's life from the time she was foaled to the birth of her first colt without romanticizing either men or animals..
