Publisher's red cloth-covered boards, titled in gilt on the backstrap and front board, with applied paste-down, and decorated endpapers, with 16 spectacular full page plates by Frank Godwin, of which 4 are in color. . The usual light wear to extremities; contemporary previous owner's name neatly penned on front flyleaf. A very presentable example of this 1920s First Edition, from a time when children's books were intended to endure. VERY GOOD.. Color Plates. Large 8vo. xv, 256 pp .
