About This Item

British Museum Press, 2000. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine in Near Fine Dust Jacket. First edition, near fine, oversized hardcover shows a previous owner name written at front and rear end papers, in near fine dust jacket (price at flap) showing just a touch of shelf wear. 272 pages with illustrations including color plates. Still a pleasing copy of this work that "..gives a full account of the excavations of the furnaces and hearths which comprise the refinery and of the detailed scientific analysis carried out at the Department of Scientific Research in the British Museum which has made it possible to reconstruct the process.
