Two volumes, complete, two-toned buckram, slipcase has some wear and a bump in one of the top corners, still very good. Books in very good condition, with previous owner's gift inscription in front pastedown of Volume 1. No other writing found. First trade edition, first state. In the first state, Chapter XIV on page 507 begins with Alice instead of For Alice This grammatical error was corrected in the next printing. Herd 1318. Six Score 69: Perhaps the most exhaustive ranch history ever written, and a tremendous account of the cattle industry in south Texas.
