Collector's Edition/First Printing with the complete number line; A Near Fine book w/o jacket as issued, with light rubbing to the board edges and some faint soiling to the boards. SIGNED with a doodle (a tic tac toe game) by the author to the title page. This is the collector's edition published on the 20th Anniversary of the original publication; this book signed with a doodle to the title page, unlike the limited edition which was signed to a limitation page. Not remaindered, not ex-library; in a protective Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.
Synopsis
Knots and Crosses is a 1987 crime novel by Ian Rankin. It is the first of the Inspector Rebus novels. It was written while Rankin was a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh. In the introduction to this novel, Rankin states that Rebus lives directly opposite the window in Marchmont that he looked out of while writing the book.
