About This Item
New York: Random House, 1997. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. This second posthumous collection of Barthelme's shorter work focuses on his non-fiction comments on art, literature, film and city life as well as bringing together several interviews from the last 18 years of this master short story writer's life that help understand this very private man. A tiny, red-dot remainder mark on the top edge of the text and a touch of soiling on the fore edge, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and unmarked. The dustjacket shows only very minimal surface and edgewear, no tears, no chipping or creasing, not price-clipped. A very nice copy of a hard-to-find work.
