Burnham, 1862, 1st Burnham Edition, First Printing , 1862. -----------( 1st printing of the First BURNHAM edition ) ----hardtcover, a solid Good to Very Good example in original brown cloth, gilt lettering to the spine, light soiling, a bit of sunning to spine, some age toning to the outer edges of the text block, some small chips and frayed areas mainly at tips, rear blank endpaper has a pencil grid with names, ---binding and internal and external hinges are all tight and secure, 472 pages plus 8 pages of ads, a tight square copy, SALE produced the first English translation of The Koran in 1734 which was reprinted well into the 20th century by multiple publishers, the biography of MOHAMMED is 50 pages long, a nice edition in very acceptable condition, no printing history but I believe the 1862 printing is the first BURNHAM printing, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---.
