Leipzig: Otto Schultz. Fair with no dust jacket. 1886. First Edition. Half-Leather. 395 pp + xv. In German. Assyriologist Carl Bezold's ( 1859-1922) abridged survey of the Babylonian-Assyrian literature, together with a chronology and an index to the cuneiform tablets at the British Museum. Bezold was well known for his work with the British Museum, and was a pioneer in Babylonian astronomy. A very scarce book. Half leather with blue marbled boards. Spine is dry and very chipped, with most of the leather gone, although the gilt title is still present and quite legible. Interior has normal aging, some foxing, but otherwise clean and very readable.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 395 pages .
