Contains black and white illustrations and plates. Textblock is in French. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Publisher's details slip glued over previous publisher's details on title page (possibly Edouard Rouveyre). Clean pages, plates and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Bookseller sticker stuck to back pastedown. Library stamp to reverse of all plates. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Hinges are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
