SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, without dedication on front endpaper. Signing reads, 'With kindest regards/Dennis Holman'. This was Brigadier D H Currie's copy and has his signature, without dedication or inscription, on front paste-down. Brigadier Douglas Currie was the Military Secretary to the Viceroy, is refered to in the Index and mentioned in the book. Profusely illustrated with photographs, all present as called for. A biography of Lady Louis, Countess Mountbatten of Burma (1901-1960). With Index. Front inner hinge starting (but book very secure); all edges spotted and dusted; covers spotted and dusted; spotting to paste-downs and endpapers, with occasional spotting throughout; else a good copy only of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR..
