LADY WRESTLERS c. 1960s PHOTO COLLECTION

This is a sexually implicit album of women wrestling naked or partially nude. This 10 7/8" x 11 1/2" three ring binder of 18 leaves/36 pages contains 137 photographs, including several photos in each of the 10 contact sheets. Also, there are three sheets of illustrations.

Headshots of the "Lady Wrestlers" for hire are provided with a stamp on verso which entices: "For Booking's contact World Wide Women's Wrestling Assoc. ... Van Nuys, California or call Mildred Burke...".

These action shots display these women in playful and compromising positions. It is obvious in certain photographs that there are voyeurs at these intimate performances. The contact sheets show a lapse in time in which the lady wrestlers progressively undress.

There is some figure eight leg lock positions, light headlocks, wrist binds, and a lot of grabbing at each other's boobs. Many photographs of bare feet, bare butts, and bare teeth (smiling or sinking into their opponents skin).

Three sheets of comic-strip illustrations. One of a man and woman wrestling, one of several women fighting a tiger, and one sketch of two women wrestling.

All images measure 10" x 8". All of the plastic covered pages, are taped to keep them closed. In good overall condition.
