Dean and Munday. Good with No dust jacket as issued. 1820. First Edition. Hardcover. 2 clean hardbacks tightly bound in half leather with marbled boards with gilt titles on a red background, boards and leather are rubbed at edges, no inscriptions but Vol XI has the label for a Leicester bookbinder (Cockshaw) on the front pastedown. Marbled boards and spine titles do not match. Colour illustrations on plates of fashion designs 1 or 2 per month. Black & white plates of the person featiured in the first article as frontispiece to each month, index. Vol XI: index and possibly 1 or 2 pages + rear endpaper missing from June, only May's fashion plate remains, all others have been removed. iv + 338 pages, black & white plates all present. Vol XII: damp marks on endpapers, iv + 356. Colour plates: September plate excised, all others present Black & white plates: all present. Contents include biographies, poetry, anecdotes, theatre reviews and the Mirror of fashion, designs credited to Miss Pierpoint, Henrietta Street, Covent Garden .
