Hardback, 1950, first edition, published by Routledge & Kegan Paul, London, 234 pages + viii.
Measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/4". Dark green cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Some scuffing and a little marking, some signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped corners. Book has a very slight forward tilt. Binding firm, very slight slackness to upper spine. Page edges browned, a little foxed, marked and scuffed. Some foxing endpapers, the odd mark throughout but page surfaces generally clean with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
