London: Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1881 First edition. Hardcover book . Full leather school prize binding for Windlesham House, Brighton. Gilt decorations to spine, gilt title on black leather panel, gilt borders, gilt school crest to front. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Prize label to front pastedown in Latin. 275pp, octavo. With 32 steel engraved illustrations in plates (some double page), including a map. Very Good. Clean covers with slight dulling to spine gilt and some rubbing to edges. Pages generally very clean, some dulling to closed edges (marbled) and light foxing to prelims and blanks at end.
