About This Item
Brie-Comte-Robert: Les Bibliolâtres de France, 1937. First edition. Original stiff card slipcase covered in buckram. Card boards. [vii]-xi, 40 pages, 1 leaf including VIII plates (including portrait, facsimiles) on 4 leaves. Unknown limitation, but states that this is a copy on papier d'Arches printed for M. Albéric Cahuet. Boards and slipcase are a touch dusty, but overall in very good condition. Inside, the papers, in French Folds, are in immaculate condition. A very nice copy. Albéric Cahuet was a pen name of Albert-Camille-Jean Cahuet (1877-1942). A French journalist and writer. His doctoral thesis was an attack on censorship. Although he wrote widely, particularly for L'Illustration, he is mostly remembered today as the author of Pontcarral published in 1937. 290 x 200 mm (11½ x 7¾ inches). .
