Tokio, printed by the Hakubunsha ... Published and sold by Kelly and Walsh, 1893.. Two volumes, Volume I :large 4to. xii+162 pp. 37 full-page plates, and 55 figures illustrating the text.. Volume II [Supplement:]: [8] pp. 40 collotype plates executed by Ogawa Kazuma, each accompanied by a leaf of descriptive text. Both volumes, original green cloth with striking pictorial gilt blocking. The upper boards of each volume is bright and attractive but the lower boarda and backstrips are quite heavily blotched. A few old name stamps. Supplement volume has a tide-mark touching some plates though not very noticable except in blank margins.Not quite very good and priced accordingly.. First edition of Conder's classic pair on landscape gardening in Japan.,
