Spine is faded and appears more black than blue. Light cover edge wear. Two-line owner's name on front endpaper dated 1913. Arthur Benson, 1862 1925, was an English author of poetry, novels and essays. He was the eldest son of Archbishop Benson and was master at Eton and Magdalene College, Cambridge. Many of theses 18 Essays in this book were previously published in Putnam's Monthly.
