Full worn brown calf. Red morocco label with gilt particulars to spine of volume I, which is lacking bottom quarter of spine covering. Volume II completely lacking spine covering. Loss to bottom right corner of volume II half title (not affecting text). Complete with 17 folding plates. Plate VI with a closed tear to the lower left margin (not affecting image); plate XVI significantly creased. Foxing throughout. Six pages of Latin text (editores et commentatores from "Horatii") inexplicably bound in rear of volume II. Nevertheless, a serviceable copy with nicely engraved plates. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; lv, [i], 496; viii, 603, xxvi pages.
