Plate volume only, title page, text page 'avis concernant les figures', full-page plates A, B, both finely coloured by hand, 37 numbered full-page engraved plates, four of which are folding, mainly annotated N.L. Rousseau Sculp., relating to the tools and craft of turning. A fine early plate volume on the Art of the Turner. Hard covers, in marbled paper covered boards, sensitively re-backed and the original spine laid down, generally a very good copy of this scarce plate volume.
