Light scuffing bottom edge of spines and corners. Top edge gilded; deckle edges. Dark blue boards with gold type and illustrations, all very crisp. Pages like new but very slight indentation on first few pages of Volume II. 1972 newspaper article on excavations at Pompeii laid in Volume I.
