"Last Flight" was to have been titled "World Flight" but fate willed otherwise and is almost entirely written by Earhart . herself according to her husband who wrote the introduction, George Palmer Putnam. She often said that on her solo Atlantic flight her chances of success were "one in ten", on the Honolulu-Oakland hop, "fifty-fifty". "What percentage on this world flight, I do not know. I do know that always, where her flying brought cause for fear, I was the frightened one." Map on endpapers. some tanning to inner hinge, DJ edge wear, spine fading. .
