Light foxing to the endpapers, and a hint of toning to the text block. The spine is rubbed, though the gilt lettering and design is present. A well preserved copy of this work of his final years." In these books many of his previous themes are gathered up and rehandled, with an immense technical range; the aged poet was using ballad rhythms and dialogue structure with undiminished energy as he approached his 75th year. . Gilt rubbed, shaken, interior a bit soiled, about very good; lacking the dust jacket. One of 2000 copies. Combines with different ordering and in some cases titling of two Cuala Press limited editions. (In a removable mylar protective cover.) Wade 203.

This collection contains "Purgatory," perhaps his bleakest play. Green cloth binding with a blindstamped decorative cover. Clean text; 126 pages. Lighly rubbed at the margins; some faint stains visible at certain angles; lacking the dustjacket. A solid copy; less common than would be expected. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Gilt on spine still bright. Something which has spilled on the dust jacket has worked it's way through and discolored sponts on the rear board. Internally, end pages are age toned with a previous owners bookplate to inside front board, otherwise pages clean. The binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is near very good, soiled and shelfworn, with wear along edges and folds, including small chips and tears. In addition, something has dripped onto the jacket which has discolored it in spots, as well as working through to the rear board.
