Pencilled name in three places. Inside pages generally clean with occasional soiling and stains. G. B. Lancaster is a pseudonym for Edith Joan Lyttleton, an Australasian writer whose novel settings included New Zealand, Australia, and Canada and often deal with imperialism and colonial identity. Lyttleton was one of New Zealand's most popular authors throughout the first half of the 20th century. This novel is set in Canada and tells the story of two Royal Canadian Mounted police men bringing law and order in western Canada. It was made into a Hollywood film in the 1920s. .
