On Lawn Tennis, New York: Baker & Taylor, 1903. 12mo, first American edition, pp. xvi, 17-233, 4 (ads), green cloth boards with gilt lettering and tennis racket to spine, gilt lettering and tennis player on front, halftone illustration, former owner's name on free front endpaper. Two great English players, both Wimbledon champs, hold forth on the game's details, including how to set up your own court. Condition of this book: Covers darkened with a few marks, showing wear at corners and spine ends. Inside near fine, a few leaves over-opened. This is the first USA edition. Size: 12mo. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
