About This Item

(WEINER, LAWRENCE). Weiner, Lawrence. LAWRENCE WEINER: EXHIBITION POSTER STICKER FOR "THE RESPONSE OF AN OBJECT TO / CONTACT SUFFICIENT TO LEAD TO / A CHANGE IN INHERENT QUALITY / (VIS VERITAE)". Geneve, SWITZERLAND: Centre d'Art Contemporain, Geneve, 1980. First Edition. 4to. Printed Sticker. Exhibition Poster. Very Good. One 13 ¾ x 8" sheet of adhesive-backed paper printed recto only. Text in English and French. This is the sticker-poster for Lawrence Weiner's 1980 Centre d'Art Contemporain, Geneve exhibition entitled "The Response of an Object to / Contact Sufficient to Lead to / a Change in Inherent Quality / (vis Inertiae)". A most presentable example of this uncommon ephemeral item (cited on pages 94-95 in Benjamin H.D. Buchloh's "Posters: November 1965 - April 1986: Lawrence Weiner") that constituted a component of the gallery exhibition with the backing still affixed showing a neat horizontal crease across the perforation at the lower third. It has been priced accordingly. Inventory Number: 025911
