Muskegon, MI. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1995. Revised Edition; Third Printing. Hardcover. The L. C. Woodruff was a barkentine sailing ship that was caught in a fierce storm on Lake Michigan in 1878 and began breaking up near shore by the White River Light Station. Multiple efforts were made to save the crew, and while some drowned, most were saved. This account of the ship and its final tragedy the subject of Ceasar's book which is set in typescript and printed on only one side of each page. Original publisher's blue cloth covers with gilt spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. It does not appear that this book was ever released with a dust jacket, and is now uncommon. ; B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 61 pages .
