Pinhole library stamp on title-page and one additional leaf. Some pencil marginalia, else pages bright and generally clean. 19 x 12.5 cm. Octavo. pp. 157, plus [46] publisher's advertising. Uncommon. Placed in an archival mylar wrapper with a small, loose slip of acid-free paper to mask the call number. Isaac Taylor's work in this volume consists of his notes based on conversations with Egyptian Muslims about politics and religion, his travel observations, investigations of Islamic culture, the British administration, reforms, and the relationship between Christians and Muslims.
