Cincinnati: Jones Brothers & Company, 1881. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover. A scarce book about president James A. Garfield in German. With many illustrations. Good with leather spine and corners. Dark brown cloth covered boards with gilt emblem to front cover and gilt title to embossed spine. The leather is heavily worn and chipped. Both boards are nearly detached with a long split to the leather along the front hinge. Includes laid in ephemera including an old railroad ticket, newspaper article, and some dried leaves. The pages browned with some foxing, offsetting from laid-in ephemera, and occasional browning. Detailed engravings. 604 pages. A good candidate for restoration. German. GER/5023.
