Hardcover. 12mo - 18.5 x 12 cm.; (4) - 176 pp. Dark burgundy cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the the tail end of the spine and centered on the front cover. A single blind stamped border rule on both the front and back boards. Two page preface by J. L. Spalding, the bishop of Peoria. Nine lectures in all as follows: I - "What Catholics Do Not Believe", II - "What Is the Good of Religion?", III - "Why Am I a Catholic", IV - "Did Christ Establish a Visible Organization Called His Kingdom?", V - "Unity and Universality Are Essential Characteristics of the True Church", VI - "The Sacramental System", VII - "Penance", VIII - "Without a Sacrifice There is no Supreme Act of Worship", IX - "Decoration Day". Small stains on the tail edges of 2 pages and the bottom fore corner of the title page has a wee piece missing, none of which affect any text. Otherwise very clean with a sound binding and showing only mnimal wear to the externals. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. .
