Baltimore: Steam Press of William K. Boyle, 1869. Hard Cover. Very Good binding. 12mo. 95 pp. First Edition, thus. As issued in green cloth titled in gold on the front cover. Bottom corners are lightly bumped and covers are a trifle soiled; all in all a nice copy. Contemporary owner name on the title page otherwise clean. Smith was most know as a surgeon and teacher, this is a fairly uncommon collection of stories, originally printed for private distribution, this present copy is from the first published edition and contains material about White Sulpher Springs, WV; Sweet Springs, WV; Mammoth Cave; and Warm Springs, VA.
