About This Item
London: George Harrap, 1963. First. hardcover. very good/very good. Maurice S. Dodd. First edition. Rare copy of the author’s first book. Publishers card laid in as this was most likely a review or gift copy. Near fine in a very good jacket. There is a rust stain on the page the card was attached to. The clip has been removed and left a ghost. Else a lovely copy of the author's extremely scarce first book. Ende would later publish The Neverending Story. This earlier children's book was based in part on the author's experiences in WW2 Europe. 1st
