Limited "private" edition of 200 hand-numbered copies, of which this is number 28. SIGNED and dated in the year of publication by Alice Keep Clark to Miss Mary Porter of Pilgrim Place, La Mesa, CA., with the latter's bookplate on front pastedown page. Alice Keep Clark, an American missionary, here reports on the massacre of Armenians in Cilicia in 1920. Mary Porter, after years as a Christian missionary in China, spent her later years devoting herself to establishing a place where missionaries could spend their retirement (Pilgrim Place). Book is crisp, clean, and solidly bound. Pages are untrimmed. Frontispiece photo of the author, and one of the Cilician town of Hadjin; tissue guards intact over both photos. Short closed tear on one page. Library pocket on rear pastedown. 8vo. 201 pp. Scarce, especially so signed.
