About This Item
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania: The Judson Press, 1969. 126 pages. Prison letters from an important Vietnam War resister, who acted not only as a conscientious objector but also as someone who refused to cooperate with a system that allowed the government to require any citizen to perform any job (not just the military). For that he was convicted and sentenced to 3 years in prison--by a judge who clearly admired him. An important work in the body of conscientious objection literature. The book is clean and tight, with color rubbing on the covers and the usual light toning of pages in the last half of the book.. First Edition. Paperback. Collectible-Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
