Highlands, N.C.: Jonathan Williams / Jargon, 1958. First edition. Paperback. Good +/good +. Tall sewn wrappers in decorated paper dustwrapper. A collection of "letters" or poems by Duncan with five drawings set and printed by Claude Fredericks in Pawlet (Vermont); published by Jonathan Williams in Highlands, N.C. as Jargon Fourteen. From the colophon "Of dx copies ccccl are on Arches, and lx, signed by the author & bound by Tony Landreau with the author's endpapers on Shogun. This is copy number 338." A good to very good copy. There is a vertical tear to the front cover which has been mended by tape on the verso of the cover. That tape has left a tape shadow on the front cover of the inner blank white wrapper. Printed paper label at spine is lightly worn. From the library of fellow poet Kenneth Irby who has signed this copy and indicated that he aquired this copy in Cambridge, MA in May 1959. Book has five full-page drawings "by the author of the ideal reader:.
