London: Longmans, Green, & Co, 1889. First Edition. Near Fine. First edition. x, 200 pp. Original dark green buckram with gilt lettering. Near Fine with bookplate on paste down, and small stain to bottom edge, a few finger smudges in text. An excellent copy with very clean cloth, bright pages, and sharp gilt. Essays on literature and poetry (ancient as well as of the Victorian era), as well as book collecting, by the author of the Fairy Books in various colors.
