Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin and Co, 1898. Hardcover. Very Good -. Printed by the Riverside Press. [10], 249 p.; 23 cm. Maroon cloth with gilt spine title. Top page edges gilt. Former owner's name on front fixed endpaper: H. H. Rapp, Jr., 1953. These letters from Victor Hugo (1802-1885) were written from 1836 to 1882. In Very Good- Condition: cover is lightly rubbed and soiled; small puncture on spine near front joint; front fixed endpaper is scraped, with an X in the middle; back hinge is weak; pages are clean and tight.
