Full leather; boards are dark green; gilt-stamped spine and cover titles. Gilt-stamped decoration on spine and illustration on front board; blind-stamped decoration on front board. Top page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Title page printed in red and black. This is no. 357 of a limited edition of 1500 copies.Entirely in French. This volume contains material from the 16th century. Includes an index of artists. Bookplate on front fixed endpaper of Doris Ryer Nixon (1893-1948). A heavy book; for international shipping, the U.S. Postal Service requires that it be shipped by priority/expedited shipping. In Very Good Condition: joints, spine ends, and corners are rubbed; front joint is starting to separate; loss at tail of spine; circular discoloration on front board; pages and plates are clean and tight.
