About This Item

Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Inc., (1951). First Edition. Hardcover. Hinge cracked at title page. Good only but likely unique. Author's first book. This copy has a paper label on the book's spine marked "Editorial Library" and is in a proof dustwrapper which has only the front and spine printed, the rest being blank with occasional register marks. Additionally, laid in at the rear, and at one time pasted to the rear endpaper and pastedown, is a quite fresh copy of the dustwrapper as it finally appeared.
