Tips a little rubbed, else a near fine, bright copy lacking the dust jacket. Inscribed by Drinkwater in year of publication: "For Alec and Sylvia Kenward, with all good wishes for luck and happiness, from John Drinkwater. London, June 28, 1931". Laemmle was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1884. He was a pioneer in American film making, and founded Universal Studios in 1912.
