About This Item
1875 hardcover as pictured. This handsome small volume is part of a multivolume Dicken's set. It is in fair condition given its age. Three quarter bound in marbled paper and tan leather with gold stamping. Spine with raised bands, black and red stamped paste on labels and head/tail bands. Binding is intact though front hinge is cracked at preface and the preceding title page and frontispiece are missing. Marbled boards are rubbed and scuffed in places. Leather is scuffed in a few places as well. Leather spine is age tanned and dry with a few small cracks. Small chip in one paste on. Marbled endpapers and edges of text block. Text is age tanned but appears otherwise clean and unmarked. Includes 11 b&w illustrations by Phiz. We have several other volumes from the Carleton's New Illustrated Edition set in our Biblio store. These are listed by title. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s OB2
