London: John Philp, 1865. Book. Fair. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Dark green cloth with bevelled edges. Title in gilt on spine and publishers crest on front and rear covers. Quite heavy foxing to first and last few pages. The book has general light browning and foxing throughout. Half-title bears an gift inscription dated 1865 to the previous owners (Franciscan convent, Woodchester, Glos.) and the following blank page bears a small modern address label for the Franciscan convent, Woodchester, with the word "library" neatly written in biro above. The front endpaper and following page have had the top corners removed (about one and a half inch depth). Binding sound, but some pages have light creasing to the internal edge where they meet the centre. 351pp. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
