This book is in very good minus condition. Moderate wear and staining to the full leather binding. Circular cup ring visible on the front board. Both hinges are cracked. Handwriting on front and rear pastedowns and endpapers. Scattered foxing throughout.
"The Life of Benjamin Franklin" was written by Weems, an American minister, evangelical bookseller, and author who also wrote the first biography of George Washington. He is most famous for his stories about Washington - specifically the cherry tree tale.
